80th Independence Day of India at Lovely Professional University

The University Sports Council joins the nation as we celebrate the 80th Independence Day of India at Lovely Professional University, in the gracious presence of our Chief Guest, respected Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Founder Chancellor of Lovely Professional University and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and our Presiding Officer, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal Ma’am, Worthy Pro Chancellor of Lovely Professional University. Their vision and leadership have inspired us to strive for excellence not only in academics but also in sports, empowering us to become responsible, disciplined and worthy citizens of our great nation. We gathered at the Lovely professional University, University Amphitheater and Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium to celebrate the spirit of freedom that lives in the heart of every Indian — a spirit that inspires us to contribute towards building a stronger, more progressive India and help our nation realise its vision of becoming a Viksit Bharat and a Vishwa Guru. Youth are the catalysts of this movement, and sports play a vital role in shaping them. The lessons of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, leadership and duty that sports instil are the very values that can drive our nation forward. At the University Sports Council, we strive to keep this flame of patriotism, discipline and sporting spirit alive in the hearts of every student on campus, inspiring them to give their best, serve with humility and contribute towards the progress of the great nation we proudly call home.
